The importance of pet health checks
Unlike humans, our pets aren’t able to tell us that they have a problem such as a toothache, earache, reduced vision or a pain in their abdomen. It is only when such problems become very severe that they will develop outward signs of disease, for example by becoming lethargic, showing evidence of being in pain (e.g. lameness, difficulty getting up/jumping, crying, yelping, not wanting to be touched etc.), bumping into things or going off their food. It is therefore very important that our pets are given regular health checks by a Vet in order to catch these problems early on.
The annual health check itself is just as important as regular vaccination as this allows us to spot problems early and to give assistance with routine healthcare issues such as exercise, diet, worming, and dental care which are all very important aspects in keeping your pet as healthy as possible.
Our new welcome pack
As part of our welcome pack for new puppies and kittens, we offer a free health check at six months of age to those pets who have had their initial course of puppy or kitten vaccinations (and associated health-checks) with Willows. You will be send a reminder for this free health check when it is due.
